CCs House

The next big thing in Wairarapa? CCs House, describe themselves as a funk, soul, reggae fusion. Hot as a hot potato, rocking those soulful vibes, they are grabbing the attention of all the locals. We’re looking forward to hosting them as our headline act for this date.  Get your dancing shoes on baby!

Seismic State

Formed in early 2018, Seismic State are Sai (guitar), Liam (bass), Matthijs (drums) and Rogina (vocals & guitar).

Their style mixes rock with elements of funk, blues, progressive and alternative; combining riff-oriented guitar with melodic bass lines and driving drum rhythms to form a foundation for creative vocal melodies and thought-provoking lyrics. The result is an accessible and sonically pleasing brand of music not often found in the rock scene.

LOST BiRD

The last time I saw LOST BIRD was at The Gladstonebury Festival on the acoustic stage. They were amazing and a two piece. Ali is back on his own this time, definitely one to come along and watch. This guy has opened for Ed Sheeran, how cool is that.  Let’s get behind these visiting musicians and give them a big welcome.

LYNNAL LOPA

The first time I heard Lynnal, she was a little girl playing before us at Waifest with her brother Jerome. They were a hard act to follow. Since that day, I’ve watched performances mature along with her beautiful voice.  Tonight is Lynnal’s night. Jerome and the Seki Bradaz are playing on the 19th August. I’m looking forward to what she’s going to bring for us to enjoy. I’m never disappointed.

VELVET STAR

Velvet Star are mix of hard rock, addictive funk and mysterious prog flourishes. Journeying through feelings of urban alienation, obsession, a half-joke celebration of a novelty item and dark comedies about holidays gone awry.

MURKY DEPTHS

Stripped down blues rock with a sprinkling of metal and whimsy thrown in for good measure. Hailing out of Porirua, Murky Depths is a three-piece blues rock band with a foot well and truly lodged in the 70’s but a soul that’s coloured by 80’s and 90’s guitar bands. Think stadium rock guitars, thumping bass and sarcasm fueled vocals backed by a solid rhythm section.

JEFF & THE ANGRY STICK

We’re back to rock ya socks off and getting some practice in before the next one when we’re releasing some new music.  Jeff & the Angry Stick is a fusion of pop, rock and every other genre we feel we are inspired by. New line up is Nikki King, Sam King, James Trotman, Pete King and Coral Griffis. We’ve got new music for ya, some come and see what it is all about.

THE TRAVELLING LOUNGE ROOM

The Travelling Lounge Room describe themselves as a British influenced Punk Pop Rock style show, their songs like Time Machine, Reality, If Only I Knew, likened to groups like The Cure and The Stranglers. So these guys know how to charm a pom like me huh! Looking forward to hearing what these guys have to offer. They’ve been around for 10 years so pretty established, they’re opening – so get down early and give these guys a welcome.
